Auto Belay Induction

• Length: 45 mins
• Age: 16+
• Prerequisites: Experienced boulderer
• What's included? Everything! Instruction, shoe & chalk hire, registration fee, climbing after your session

Before you visit, please watch our induction video and fill out a registration form. If you're under 18, your parent or legal guardian must complete the form on your behalf. If you don't do this beforehand, we will need you to do it upon arrival, which may reduce your climbing time.

• How to put on a harness and attach the auto belay to the harness
• Function check
• Climbing with the auto belay
• Descending
• Fall practice

After completion of the session, we'd put you through an auto belay competency test when you next visit the centre to see evidence of retention of the knowledge gained during this session.

Arrival time: Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time and check in at reception.
What to wear: Wear loose, comfortable clothing (what you would wear to the gym). Tie long hair back and remove jewellery. Bring some thin socks to wear with the climbing shoes if required.
Shower and locker facilities: Our lockers require padlocks; you can bring your own, or purchase one from us. All of our locations have showers and offer towel rental (free with a membership).
Water fountains are available, so please bring your own bottle or use the cups provided.
