Bouldering Foundation Course

Ready to take your new-found love of climbing to the next level? Our Bouldering Foundation Course is perfect for you!

The course takes place over three weeks, with an hourly session on the same day and time each week. It's aimed at those who have started bouldering and can do so safely, and are keen to delve further into the basics of climbing movement.

The aim of the course is to develop a basic understanding of simple movements and techniques on the climbing wall, as well as basic terminology, to ultimately make you a better climber! It is also a great way to meet new people and have some fun in a relaxed and friendly environment.

The minimum age is 14, and if you are aged 14-17 you can attempt to complete an assessment following your course to enable you to use the centre unsupervised. Your parent or legal guardian must visit the Centre for a bouldering safety briefing and give consent for you to boulder unsupervised. All Foundation Courses are run on a maximum 1:6 ratio.

One final, important step before your visit...All participants must pre-register online before their session. You can quickly register on our website here. People arriving at session start time without completing the process are the main cause of delayed sessions and missed climbing time. You may not be able to take part at all. Don't miss out on climbing, and don't be that member of the group!
